About Me

My name is Dan Ratner and I’m a serial entrepreneur, technologist, writer, impact investor, raconteur, boulevardier and man about town. I live in Chicago with my lovely wife Genevieve Thiers and my twin sons Leo and Ari.

I’m co-founder and CEO of Public Good, co-author of two books on nanotechnology, and a proud board member of Open Books, Chicago’s biggest literacy non-profit. Previously, I was Director of Technology at Obama for America 2012 and CTO of Sittercity.com, American’s first and largest service dedicated to finding quality childcare online.

If you are so inclined, you can find me on Linked InTwitterTEDAngel List, Mastodon or on the run from something unpleasant.

My blog is just my own thoughts and views, not those of any of the organizations I’m a part of.  I hope you’ll find them to be filled with intrigue, insight and with wine.  Particularly with wine.
